Who we are
This website is operated by Akrithen, LLC, a Florida limited liability company based in Port St. Lucie, Florida (“Akrithen”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers akrithen.com and enquiries you send us through it. Client engagements are governed by their own written agreements.
Questions about this policy or your information: contact@akrithen.com.
The short version
- We collect only what you choose to send us, plus the basic technical data any website needs to work and stay secure.
- We don't sell or rent personal information, share it for advertising, or add you to marketing lists.
- We don't use advertising or third-party analytics tools, and we don't set tracking cookies.
Information you give us
When you use our contact form, we collect:
- Your name and work email address (required)
- Your organization, sector and area of interest (optional)
- Your message, and anything else you choose to include in it
If you email or call us directly, we receive whatever you send, along with your email address or phone number. Please don't send confidential or classified information through the website or by unsolicited email.
Information collected automatically
Like any website, ours receives technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time. Our hosting provider processes this to deliver pages, defend against attacks and abuse, and keep the service running. We use Cloudflare’s request logs and aggregate traffic statistics to troubleshoot problems and understand overall site usage; we don’t use them to build profiles of individual visitors.
Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not an automated script, is submitting it. Turnstile runs only on the contact page. To do this it evaluates signals from your browser and device, and when you submit the form we pass the resulting token and your IP address to Cloudflare to confirm the check passed. Cloudflare processes this information under its own privacy policy and does not use it for advertising.
Cookies
We don’t set any cookies ourselves. Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, may set or use strictly necessary cookies or similar browser storage for security and bot detection, including on the contact page through Turnstile. These are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can block cookies in your browser, but the contact form’s anti-spam check may then fail; you can always email us instead.
How we use your information
- To read and reply to your enquiry, and to scope and discuss any work you ask about
- To keep the website secure, filter spam and abuse, and fix problems
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims
We won’t send you marketing emails or newsletters, and we won’t use your details for anything unrelated to why you contacted us.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell, rent or trade personal information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing. We use a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts and delivers the website, provides security and request logging, and runs the Turnstile bot check.
- Microsoft Corporation. Contact-form submissions are delivered as an email to contact@akrithen.com through Microsoft 365, where our business email is stored.
We may also disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to it.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. You can read how they handle it in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept as business correspondence for as long as we need them: to respond, to manage any resulting engagement, and to meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations. When they’re no longer needed, we delete them. The website itself doesn’t store form submissions; they exist only as the email we receive. Technical logs held by Cloudflare are kept for a short period under Cloudflare’s retention settings.
Security
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections with modern security headers. Form submissions are checked for bots, then sent directly to our business mailbox through Microsoft’s authenticated email service. Access to our business mailbox and systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect what you send us.
Children
This site is intended for businesses and public-sector organizations. It isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Your choices and requests
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email contact@akrithen.com with your request. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we may keep information where the law requires us to. We’ll honor requests from any jurisdiction where privacy laws give you those rights, and we won’t treat you differently for making one.
Links to other sites
Our site links to other websites, such as our providers’ privacy policies. We aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website or practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we make a material change to how we use personal information, we’ll highlight it on this page.
